Well... Here's the story.
Back in 1996, while visiting our lake house in White House, Texas; my son and I were playing in front with sand by the road and as I looked back at the house, I had a vision surrounded by fog (just like in the movies...) I saw a circle of friends under the trees by the lake, and I saw the sharing of Reiki... Then it dawned on me, A REIKI RETREAT!!! I had recently received my Master Certificate, and at the time I had not really planned on teaching Reiki to anyone but family and friends, so the thought of teaching and attuning a group of strangers to Reiki was a little intimidating, so I meditated on it. I believe that the whole purpose of my trip was not to make the needed repairs to the lake house but to be convinced that I needed to share Reiki with others and that this was the place to do it. So, if you would like to share our "Power Place", Please join us for a little Reiki Retreat....
I don't believe in setting a fee because there are many different people in many different economic situations that Reiki calls to. I believe that Reiki is a gift that is meant to be shared. However, Reiki requires an exchange of energy. Therefore, I will accept Love Offerings. The student will need to make up her own mind as to what that offering will be in the form of based on what they feel Reiki is worth to them. Any and all proceeds collected at the Retreat will be used for the sole purpose of maintaining and repairing the Lake House premises. That being said, I will need to charge each student $25.00 for food, this needs to be paid in advance to reserve your spot at the retreat.
I would like to limit the classes to 10. The house itself can accommodate 5, but if anyone has tents or campers, they are welcome to setup on the premises. Also, we can have locals come in for the day and not stay over. I also feel it would be best for all overnight guest to be the same sex, unless of course a couple comes with their own tent or camper.
Students can arrive anytime on Friday afternoon. (We will have car pools from Houston) The orientation will be held on Friday evening. We will have an 8 hour class on Saturday and Saturday evening will be free to explore the area, or sharing of Reiki or Board Games or whatever .... Sunday Morning we will have the last attunement, questions and answers and a graduation ceremony. All meals will be provided buffet style.
